Danfoss FC302 inverter is one of the most modern inverters in the world, it supports all the necessary applications of the inverter and it also supports all control methods from basic to advanced such as Ethernet I/P, Profibus, Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU…

Today will guide you to use Mitsubishi HMI model GT2505-VTBD to control Danfoss FC302 inverter through Modbus RTU (RS485) communication.

Danfoss FC302 “Modbus RTU” Parameters Setting

In addition to the basic parameters of the inverter installed according to the motor (frequency, voltage, current …) then we need to install the following communication parameters to be able to control Danfoss FC302 by Modbus-RTU.

Registers Address Mapping
Note: Mitsubishi GOT2000 Holding Registers Address =
“VFD Address (Dec) + 400001

>>> Control Word Address = 49999 + 400001 = 450000 (dec)

  • Set Word 450000 = 1148 (dec) or 47C (hex) >>> Run Forward
    = 33916 (dec) or 847C (hex) >>> Run Reverse
    = 1084 (dec) or 43C (hex) >>> Stop
    = 1212 (dec) or 4BC (hex) >>> VFD Reset

>>> Set Frequency Address = 50009 + 400001 = 450010 (dec)

  • Reference Setting = 0 to 16384(dec) ~ (0 to 100%)

+ Voltage Output Address = 416120 (dec)

+ Frequency Output Address = 416130 (dec)
