Hello friends!
Today plc247.com would like to continue the series of instructions for using the Mitsubishi GT2505-VTBD HMI to control various devices through the Modbus RTU communication protocol, I will continue to guide you to control the Allen-Bradley PowerFlex inverter.
The inverter model used is Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 525, this is one of the most commonly used models on the market (other models with the same control series are similar)

Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 525 Parameters Setting
Below are the communication parameters that need to be installed for the PowerFlex 525 inverter so that we can control and monitor it with Modbus-RTU.
Modbus Registers Mapping
Note: Mitsubishi GOT2000 Holding Registers Address =
“VFD Address (Dec) + 400001“
>>> Motor Control Address = 8192 (dec) + 400001 = 408193 (dec)
- Set Word 408193 = 18 (dec) >>> Run Forward
- Set Word 408193 = 34 (dec) >>> Run Reverse
- Set Word 408193 = 1 (dec) >>> Stop
= 8 (dec) >>> VFD Fault Reset
>>> Frequency Setting Address = 8193 (dec) + 400001 = 408194 (dec)
>>> VFD Status Address = 8448 (dec) + 400001 = 408449 (dec)
+ Output Frequency Address = 8451 (dec) + 400001 = 408452 (dec)
+ Output Current Address = 8452 (dec) + 400001 = 408453 (dec)
+ Output Voltage Address = 8454 (dec) + 400001 = 408455 (dec)
Mitsubishi GT2505-VTBD Modbus Configuration
We need to set the communication parameters for the Mitsubishi HMI inverter the same as those installed for the PowerFlex 525 inverter.
