Mitsubishi GT2505 “Modbus RTU” Omron E5CC Tutorial

Written by plc247.com

Hello friends!
Temperature monitoring and storage is now a must-have for any plant. The current thermostats all support Modbus-RTU communication, making it easy to store the temperature of the locations that need to be controlled. Omron E5CC is one of the popular thermostats on the market that supports this function.

Today plc247.com will guide you to use Mitsubishi GT2505-VTBD HMI to connect Omron E5CC Controller via Modbus-RTU (RS485) Communication Protocol.

Note: If the communication distance is >50m, there is no need to use a 120Ω Terminal Resistor

Omron E5CC Modbus Parameters Setting

To be able to control and monitor Omron E5CC Controller through Modbus RTU, we need to set the following communication parameters:

Omron E5CC Registers Address Table
Note: Mitsubishi GOT2000 HMI Modbus RTU Address =
“Controller Address (Dec) + 400001

>>> Set Temperature Address = 2103 (hex) + 1
= 8451 (dec) + 1 = 408452

>>> Temperature Monitoring Address = 2000 (hex) + 1
= 8192 (dec) + 1 = 408193

HMI Mitsubishi “Modbus RTU” Configuration

In order for the Mitsubishi GT2505 to be able to control the Omron E5CC, we need to configure the communication parameters of the HMi exactly the same of the E5CC Controller.
