In the previous post, plc247.com showed you how to use Delta PLC to control many types of inverters via Modbus RTU communication using the PLC’s RS485 communication port. Today I will show you how to use it to control Omron’s E5CC thermostat.
Omron E5CC is the most common type of temperature controller worldwide, and of course it supports Modbus-RTU. 1 PLC can control up to 32 E5CC with distance up to 1200m.

Below is a wiring diagram for Delta PLC and Omron E5CC, if the communication distance is > 50m, a 120.Ohm terminal resistor should be used.

+ SV (Set Value) Address = 2103 (Hex)
+ PV (Present Value) Address = 2000 (Hex)

After selecting the communication parameters, the software will automatically create the following program (You can also programming the same program manually)
