Samkoon HMI “Modbus RTU” Danfoss FC302 Tutorial

Written by plc247.com

Hello friends!
The Danfoss FC302 inverter is a versatile, high-end inverter commonly used in applications requiring high accuracy, it fully supports communication standards such as ProfiNET, ProfiBUS, EtherNET/IP, Modbus…

Today plc247.com will guide you to control and monitor Danfoss FC302 inverter via Modbus-RTU protocol by using Samkoon SK-070HS HMI to control it.

+ Note: If the communication distance is long (>50m) it is necessary to use a 120Ω terminal resistor on the inverter side

Danfoss FC302 Modbus Parameters Setting

Below are the Modbus-RTU communication parameters that need to be installed for the Danfoss FC302 inverter:

Danfoss FC302 Modbus Registers Address

>>> VFD Control Address = 49999 (dec)

  • Set Word 49999 = 1148 (dec) >>> Run Forward
    = 33916 (dec) >>> Run Reverse
    = 1084 (dec) >>> Stop
    = 1212 (dec) >>> VFD Reset

>>> Set Frequency Address = 50009 (dec)

  • Speed Reference Setting = 0 to 16384(dec) ~ (0 to 100%)

+ Voltage Output Address = 16119 (dec)
+ Frequency Output Address = 16129 (dec)
+ Speed Output Address = 16169 (dec)
