Delta MS300 inverter is a new type of inverter launched to replace old inverters such as VFD-M, VFD-L. It also has a built-in RS485 communication port for Modbus-RTU Control.
Today plc247.com will guide you to use HMI Proface GP4402WW to control and monitor Delta MS300 VFD through Modbus RTU Communication Standard.

Delta MS300 Modbus RTU Configuration
In addition to the basic parameters of the inverter (Frequency, voltage, current, Acc/Dec,…) then we need to set the communication parameters as follows
+ P00.20 = 1 (Modbus-RTU Control Frequency)
+ P00.21 = 2 (Modbus-RTU Control Motor)
+ P09.00 = 1 (Address Slave = 1)
+ P09.01 = 9.6 (9600bps)
+ P09.02 = 0
+ P09.03 = 1.0 (Time Detect Err = 1.0s)
+ P09.04 = 14 (Modbus-RTU Slection 8bit / stop bit = 1/ Even)

Note: GP4402WW HMI Address = “400001 (dec) + Device Address”
+ Control Address = 400001(dec) + 2000(hex) = 400001 + 8192 = 408193
- Set Word 408193 = 18 >>> Forward Run
= 34 >>> Reverse Run
= 1 >>> Stop
+ Frequency Set Address = 400001(dec) + 2001(hex) = 400001 + 8194 = 408194
+ Frequency Output Address = 400001(dec) + 2103(hex) = 400001 + 8451 = 408452
+ Current Output Address = 400001(dec) + 2104(hex) = 400001 + 8452 = 408453
+ Voltage Output Address = 400001(dec) + 2106(hex) = 400001 + 8454 = 408455
