Weintek MT8071iE “Modbus RTU” Danfoss FC302 Tutorial

HMI Weintek MT8071iE is a 7 inch HMI that is extremely commonly used in many machines around the world. It fully supports basic industrial connections such as: RS232, RS485, Ethernet and it also supports Modbus RTU.

Danfoss FC302 Modbus Configuration

In addition to the basic parameters set by the motor (Frequency, voltage, current…) then we need to configure the communication parameters as follows

FC302 Registers Address for Control

Note: Weintek MT8071iE Modbus Address
= “VFD Address (dec) +1”

>>> VFD Control Address = 49999 + 1 = 50000

  • Set Word 50000 = 1148 (dec) >>> Run Forward
    = 33916 (dec) >>> Run Reverse
    = 1084 (dec) >>> Stop
    = 1212 (dec) >>> VFD Reset

>>> Frequency Reference Address = 50009 + 1 = 50010

  • Reference Set = 0 to 16384(dec) ~ (0 to 100%)
FC302 Registers Address for Monitoring

+ Voltage Output Address = 16120

+ Frequency Output Address = 16130

+ Current Output Address = 16140

+ Speed Output Address = 16170

We need to set the communication parameters of MT8071iE the same as previously configured Danfoss FC302
