Mitsubishi FX5U “Modbus RTU” Yaskawa V1000 Tutorial

Yaskawa V1000 inverter is a series of inverters with compact design, easy parameter setting, stable and reliable operation, high efficiency. It has built-in RS485 port which supports MEMOBUS and MODBUS-RTU Communication.

Today will guide you to use PLC Mitsubishi FX5U to control Yaskawa V1000 inverter via Modbus RTU (RS485)

Yaskawa V1000 Modbus-RTU Configuration

In order for the Yaskawa V1000 inverter to be controlled by Modbus RTU, we need to set the parameters as shown in the table below.

Registers for Control

>>> Motor Control Address = 1 (hex)

  • Set Word “1” = 0000 0000 0000 0001 (Bin) = 1 >>> Forward Run
  • Set Word “1” = 0000 0000 0000 0010 (Bin) = 2 >>> Reverse Run
  • Set Word “1” = 0000 0000 0000 0000 (Bin) = 0 >>> Stop

>>> Frequency Setting Address = 2 (hex)

Register for Monitoring

+ Output Frequency Address = 24 (hex)

+ Output Voltage Address = 25 (hex)

+ Output Current Address = 26 (hex)
