Delta HMI “Modbus RTU” Fuji Frenic Tutorial

Hello everyone, HMI Delta DOP-107EV is a cheap but very good quality HMI. It supports most of the basic connectivity ports such as Ethernet, RS232, RS422/RS485. In addition to being able to connect to PLCs, it can also connect to devices via Modbus-RTU Communication.

Today plc247.com will guide you to use Delta HMI DOP-107EV to control Fuji Frenic Inverter via Modbus-RTU (Both devices have built-in RS485 port to support Modbus connection)

FUJI Frenic Inverter Modbus Parameters Setting

In order for the Fuji Frenic Mini inverter to be controlled by Modbus-RTU, we need to set the following communication parameters

  • H30: 3 (VFD Control via RS485 Port)
  • Y01: 1 (Slave Address)
  • Y02: 0
  • Y03: 2
  • Y04: 2 (9600bps)
  • Y05: 0 (Data: 8bit)
  • Y06: 1 (Parity Check: Even)
  • Y07: 1 (Stop Bit: 1)
  • Y10: 0 (Modbus-RTU Selection)
  • Y99: 0
Fuji Frenic Inverter Modbus Registers Address

  • Frequency Setting Address = S(07H) + 05 = 705 (hex)
  • Motor Control Address = S(07H) + 06 = 706 (hex)

+ Set Word “706” = 1 >>> Forward Run
= 2 >>> Reverse Run
= 0 >>> Stop Run

  • Output Frequency Address = M(08H) + 09 = 809(hex)
    Output Voltage Address = M(08H) + 12 = 80C(hex)
