In the previous post, plc247.com showed you how to use the Proface GP4402WW HMI to connect to the MicroLogix 1400 PLC. Today I will show you how to use the Weintek HMI to connect to the Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1400.
The HMI model plc247.com uses is MT8071iE, which is one of Weintek’s most popular models. Cheap price, good quality, supports most connections such as RS232/485, Ethernet and supports connection of most PLC types on the market, and MicroLogix 1400 is no exception.
PLC “MicroLogix 1400” Ethernet Configuration
+ Setting the Ethernet Port of the PLC in “Channel 1”
+ Keep Ethernet default settings change only IP Address
HMI Weintek to “MicroLogix 1400” Device Setting
+ Device type: Rockwell EtherNet/IP (DF1)
+ I/F: Ethernet
+ IP: “PLC IP Addresss”, Port=44818
