Proface HMI Set “IP Address” Tutorial

Pro-face brand (referred to as Proface for short) was developed by Digital Electronics Corporation since 1972 in Osaka city, Japan. Proface is one of the most popular HMI manufacturers in the world, its models often fully support communication standards such as RS232, RS485/RS422 and of course Ethernet.

In order for the Proface HMI models to connect to the PLC or PC via the Ethernet port, we need to set the IP Address for it to the same IP range as the PLC/PC. Today plc247.com will guide you to install IP Address for HMI Proface, specifically model Proface-GP4402WW

Proface HMI “How to Set IP Address”

+ Step.1: Click on the icon as shown below

+ Step.2: Choose “Offline” mode

+ Step.3: Select “Main Unit Settings”

+ Step.4: Select “Ethernet Local Settings”

+ Step.5: Click on “LAN”

+ Step.6 : Set “IP Address” you want to set (Must set the same IP range as PLC but different address)

+ Step.7 : Choose “Exit” >>> ” Save changes and exit”

+ Step.8 : Waiting (Do NOT turn off Power)
