[Tutorial] Weintek MT8071iE & DELTA VFD-M “Modbus-RTU”

Today would like to guide you to control Delta VFD-M inverter with HMI screen Weintek MT8071iE using Modbus-RTU communication standard

Parameters of DELTA Inverter VFD-M Series

In order for Delta Inverter to run in Modbus-RTU mode, you need to set the following parameters:

  • P00: 03 (Master frequency determined by RS-485 Communication port)
  • P01: 04 (Operation determined by RS-485 communication port, keypad STOP is ineffective)
  • P88: 01 (Modbus Slave Address – Number.1)
  • P89: 01 (Transmission Speed – 9600bps)
  • P92: 04 (MODBUS RTU Mode – <8,E,1>)
  • P157: 01 (Communication Mode Selection – Modbus)

( Note: Address when declaring to HMI = Modbus Address + 1 )

Command Write

>>> Run Forward (FWD): 2001H (8193 Dec) = 18 (0000.0000.0001.0010)
Run Reserved (REV): 2001H (8193 Dec) = 34 (0000.0000.0010.0010)
Stop: 2001H (8193 Dec) = 1 (0000.0000.0000.0001)

>>> Set Frequence by : 2002H (8194 Dec)

  • Output Frequency: 2104H (8452 Dec)
  • Output Current: 2105H (8453 Dec)
  • Output Voltage: 2107H (8455 Dec)
