Hello everyone!
Mitsubishi’s equipment is used extremely commonly in the field of automation such as PLC, HMI, VFD… low price, popular quality make Mitsubishi a favorite used brand in the world.
Today plc247.com will guide you to use the Mitsubishi GT2505-VTBD HMI to control the Mitsubishi FR-E700 Seiries inverter through Modbus-RTU (RS485)
Mitsubishi GT2505-VTBD & FR-E720 “Wiring Diagram”
Note: Mitsubishi FR-E700 Series inverters have built-in RS485 port (RJ45 Port.) depending on whether the HMI model supports RS485 port or not to support control by Modbus RTU protocol (All GOT2000 GT-Series HMIs are available). support)
Mitsubishi FR-E720 Modbus Parameters Setting
In order for GT2505-VTBD and FR-E720 VFD to be connected by Modbus-RTU, we need to set the following communication parameters for the inverter
+ Pr117 = 1 (Slave Address)
+ Pr118 = 3 (Baudrate 9600)
+ Pr119 = 0 (8bit, stop bit = 1)
+ Pr120 = 2 (Even)
+ Pr121 = 9999
+ Pr122 = 9999
+ Pr123 = 9999

>>> VFD Control Address = 40009 (dec)
- Set Word 8(hex) = 0000 0000 0000 0010 = 2 >>> Forward Run
- Set Word 8(hex) = 0000 0000 0000 0100 = 4 >>> Reverse Run
- Set Word 8(hex) = 0000 0000 0000 0000 = 0 >>> Stop
