Hello, in previous posts plc247.com guided you to use some PLC/HMIs to control INVT-GD20 inverter by Modbus-RTU RS485, today I would like to continue to guide you to use computer inverter direct control
You need to prepare Modbus Poll software (download link at the bottom of the article). Using a computer helps us connect the controller to the inverter as quickly as possible without having to connect many wires, and Modbus Poll software also supports data logging.

We need to prepare USB to RS485 cable
INVT Goodrive 20 Communication Setting
In order for the INVT GD20 inverter to communicate with Modbus-RTU RS485, we need to set the following parameters:
- P00.01 = “2” (Motor Control via RS485)
- P00.06 = “8” (Frequency Setting via RS485)
- P00.09 = “0” (Choose A Frequency)
- P14.00 = “1” (Address No.1)
- P14.01 = “3” (9600bps)
- P14.02 = “1” (Modbus-RTU 8/E/1)
- P14.03 = “5”
- P14.04 = “0”
